SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Till date, no
side-effects have been reported with Matador™
Adult Syrup. Special precaution should be taken in following cases:
- Taurine: Taurine might have an effect like a water pill or "diuretic." Taking taurine might decrease how well the body gets rid of lithium. Talk with your healthcare provider before using this product if you are already taking lithium.
- Vitamin A (Retinol): Absorption of vitamin A from the gastro-intestinal tract may be reduced by the presence of neomycin, cholestyramine, or liquid paraffin; absorption may also be impaired in cholestatic jaundice and fat-malabsorption conditions.
- Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine):Reduces the effects of levodopa.
- Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid): Large doses may cause diarrhoea and other gastro-intestinal disturbances and are associated with the formation of renal calcium oxalate calculi. Vitamin C should be given with care to patients with hyperoxaluria. Tolerance may be induced with prolonged use of large doses.
- Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol): Should not be administered to patients with hypercalcaemia. The effects of Vitamin D3 may be reduced in patients taking barbiturates or anticonvulsants.
OVERDOSAGE:
In case of overdose,
symptomatic and supportive treatment is indicated.
